After pregnancy, if you have had a breast augmentation, your breast should go back to about the same way they were before your pregnancy. Breast implants are generally unaffected by pregnancy as long as you do not gain a lot of weight. Weight gain can stretch out the skin of your breasts. This may make your breasts, “hang” off your implants. In other words, if you gain a lot of weight during your pregnancy, your breast augmentation will look saggy.
If you limit your weight gain, usually you will not stretch out your skin and your breast augmentation will continue to look good. Most women lose a little volume in their breast tissue and they are very glad that they have breast implants in so that they can have something and are not flat like they might have been if they had not had a breast augmentation.
Of course, the most important thing is your baby, so if you do gain weight or your breasts just simply get big during your pregnancy and breast feeding, resulting in stretching of the skin, then we can always perform a breast lift or mastopexy to restore the shape of your breast augmentation. You can find out a breast lift cost is here.
