A liquid rhinoplasty is also known as a non-surgical rhinoplasty. Many people call a rhinoplasty a nose job. It is a procedure that changes the shape of the nose. A rhinoplasty is often thought of as a surgery that usually reduces the size of the nose as well as re-contours the tip and often narrows the nose. This is called a reduction rhinoplasty.
There are also times that adding to one part of the nose is required in order to get a desirable shape. This can be done during surgery with cartilage as well as bone grafts but fillers have also been used. When a filler is used it is called a liquid rhinoplasty or non-surgical nose job. Most surgeons do not use filler for the correction of nasal problems that need augmentation because most fillers are temporary and as a result you have to keep coming back. Surgeons would rather operate and use a material that will last a long time.
There is, however, a long term filler that works wonderfully for liquid rhinoplasties. It has been shown to last at least 5 years and will like last much longer although the long term studies have not been completed past 5 years. Far less costly than surgery, Artefill has a great safety profile and produces tremendous results.
Liquid or non-surgical rhinoplasties are a viable alternative to more invasive surgical nose jobs with less downtime, less risk, less expense and produce great results in the right patient.
